CLARK BANDS

Clark High School is part of the Plano Independent School District. The Clark Band currently serves 130+ students who participate in marching band, four concert bands, jazz band, large & small chamber ensembles, and color guard. The middle school feeders for the Clark Band are Carpenter, Schimelpfenig, and Hendrick middle schools. The Clark band thrives on support from its strong booster team, administration, and community!

Clark Marching Band

All band students participate in the marching band during the fall semester. The marching band includes brass, woodwinds, mallets (front ensemble), drumline, and color guard. Rehearsals for this group happen before school daily from August - October. The marching band performs at Plano football games and marching band competitions.

Clark Concert Bands

There are three concert bands at Clark - Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. Membership in these ensembles is based on an audition. These bands meet during the school day and learn music for the Winter Concert, Pasta Concerto, Pre-UIL Concert, UIL, and Spring concert. Private Lessons are strongly recommended, and sectionals are a requirement during the spring semester for some ensembles.

Clark Jazz Band

The Clark Jazz Band is open to all band instruments, regardless of traditional jazz instrumentation. This group meets 1-2 times weekly after school from October - May (it is not a class period). The Jazz Band performs at the Winter Concert, Plano Swing Dance Night, Plano Jazz Festival, and Spring Concert (other performance opportunities are also possible).
